Have you been feeling hopeless and disconnected? Do you feel like you put up a front to the outside world but on the inside you are unhappy and dissatisfied with life? Have you been struggling to keep up? Do you feel like no one understands what you are going through? Therapy can help. I know therapy can seem scary and vulnerable. Therefore, I make my office a safe and non- judgmental place to explore oneself, and any hardships that one is currently facing or have faced in the past. As your therapist I make it a top priority to earn your trust and build a strong therapeutic relationship. I empower my clients to realize their self worth and discover their innate resilience that allows them to get through the hardest of times. I believe in all my clients and instill the belief that change is possible no matter the situation. Experience: Sarah is a licensed master social worker. I approach therapy as a relationship we build together. I don’t have the answers-but you do. You are the expert of your own life. But life can be loud and overwhelming. Therapy is the quiet space in between the loud moments. In sessions you will always be accepted unconditionally as you are. My approach focuses on the humanistic perspective where you guide the process at your pace in the safe haven we build together. Sessions are your time to use as you need, to explore who you are in the present moment, who you were in your past and who you wish to be in the future. My aim is to help each of my clients gain greater understanding of themselves and develop skills and techniques to help them meet their goals. I place special emphasis on the relationship I have with each of my clients and getting to know them in a meaningful and collaborative way. Together we will discover which therapeutic interventions feel right for you and help you move forward in getting to know your true self. My therapeutic approach is heavily influenced by Emotion Focused Therapy, as well as Psychodynamic and Attachment Theory. I also integrate directive, evidence-based interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to empower clients with skills and techniques that help them succeed and function optimally in their daily lives.
